LEGAL
Terms of Service
Effective May 20, 2026
1. Who we are
ICARUS Systems (“we”, “us”, the “Service”) is a software platform that provides decision-support tools for self-directed traders. Full publisher identity, registration numbers, and the hosting provider are set out in our Legal Notice. Contact: support@icarussystems.app.
2. What we are not
ICARUS Systems is not a broker, a financial advisor, an investment firm, an asset manager, or a portfolio manager. We do not provide investment advice, trade recommendations, signals, or any form of personalised financial guidance.
All content and tools on the Service are provided for educational and analytical purposes only. You remain solely responsible for your trading decisions and their outcomes.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use financial-analysis software in your jurisdiction to access the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.
4. Accounts
The free tools require no account. An account is only created when you purchase a paid product, and the account area uses passwordless authentication via one-time email links (“magic links”). You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised access to your email.
5. Products and purchases
Some products on the Service are paid. Where applicable, the price is shown before checkout and may change over time; the price you pay is the price displayed at the moment of purchase.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Their terms also apply to the transaction. See Refund Policy for the refund window applicable to digital products.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service or its tools;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to circumvent paywalls;
- use the Service to provide advisory services to third parties;
- upload content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes others’ rights.
7. Risk disclaimer
Trading financial instruments involves substantial risk of loss. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Outputs of the Service (simulations, drawdown estimates, risk metrics) are based on simplifying assumptions and on the inputs you provide; they are illustrative, not predictive. Nothing on the Service should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its tools, copy, brand assets, and source arrangement, is owned by ICARUS Systems. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the products you have purchased for personal use only.
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. For paid products, version 1.x updates are included; future major versions (v2+) may be offered as separate paid upgrades.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ICARUS Systems is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page and, for users with an account, communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the founder’s registered jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
13. Consumer mediation
In accordance with French Consumer Code articles L.612-1 and following, a consumer may, after submitting a written complaint to us, refer the dispute free of charge to a consumer mediator. The mediator’s details will be provided here once the mediation agreement is finalised.
Consumers residing in the European Union may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
